![]() ![]() ![]() To get around this, I thought I might enable the GPO to fix their download location (as mentioned above) to their home folder - the only trouble is I can't be so specific as they share a class log-on and then have an individual work folder each in their main home folder. ![]() How do I block that location (they cannot browse here as it is already blocked)? I have the prompt for download GPO enabled, but for the early years (and even a lot of the later ones) if they don't navigate to their home folder and just press save in the first dialogue box it ends up there. I have no clue how they're doing it as I can't replicate it - everytime I try to save something it comes up with 'Disabled by your Administrator' or similar depending on the application.Īnyway one thing they can do with Scratch in a Chrome browser, is save a file to this location (not sure where this file is physically though): How to change the default Chrome download location Open Chrome and click the small wrench icon > Options > Under the Hood. These are local profiles without UEV / redirection or anything else going on. I have most of the save locations on our pupil ICT suite locked down (C: D: Network etc), but occasionally I do find the odd file on the desktop.
